"The Sinner"
This is a 1956 coupe saved from the boneyard of the Emory compound. Ed Edwards gets all the credit for the project,if it werent for him im sure this never would have rolled on 4 wheels again. The great thing about this car is its personality and its real porsche drivetrain/brakes. Ed sourced almost every piece to make this car whole and correct, the idea was a nice rustfree chassis and surface rust "patina" outer skin. The car has had all the chassis rust repaired, floors, longitudinals etc were all replaced then the underside (skin included) was por-15 treated,i plan on putting a proper "wurth" brand undercoating on it. Im not exactly sure what im going to do with it,I guess I plan on following with the theme Ed started with, its the coolest rat/outlaw porsche ive seen. I think i can safely say this is the lowest 356 in existance, well real 356 anyway.
Here the old beast sits as it arrived one rainy day in Oregon
Here's "The Sinner" after the unload,it's gonna sit here in the barn I erected about 2 weeks before the rain started in fall 2007. I built the barn in about a week mostly by myself,it was erected to store some of the projects. In spring I intend on pulling all the cars back out, pouring concrete then making some racks for at least the porsches. I will of course edit this page as things develop.
